I think we should vote all the greedy bastards out of office this coming November. While they scrambled to send bail out money to the banks and Wall Street brokers (who ended up with record bonuses this year) they've just left the hard-working, average American out in the cold by not extending the unemployment benefits. Millions will stop receiving their stipend from the government this coming week. Keep in mind that these unemployed masses did nothing to put themselves in this situation. They are nothing more than victims of the times. And the Republicans don't seem to give a rat's ass about any of them. Well, wait till it's time to vote. They may find themselves among the unemployed.
It won't be surprising to see a lot of stories in the news in the coming weeks about bank robberies, jewelery store robberies, and robberies of any type of business that has cash or valuable merchandise. Americans have to feed their families and, for some, stealing from others may be their only option. It's unfortunate, but tough times bring out unsavory solutions. But since a lot of these businesses are owned by Republicans, maybe it's justice after all. Thanks for your generosity, Republicans. And, Mr. President, why aren't you doing anything about this? Do you have any idea what kind of impact this is going to have? It will be far-reaching. If people don't have money to spend, products don't move, more layoffs result, the economy continues downward.
